Why You Must Protect the Functioning Presence of God

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power… for God was with him.” — Acts 10:38 (KJV)

We often say “God is with me,” but have you ever stopped to ask—is God working for me?

There’s a powerful difference between carrying God’s passive presence and walking in His active, functioning presence. Many believers carry the omnipresence of God, but few walk in the manifesting power of His Spirit.

Just like Jesus, who didn’t just have God with Him—He had God working through Him—you must desire more than awareness of God. You must contend for partnership.

🛑 The Holy Spirit Can:
Work with you

Be silent toward you

Resist you—if grieved

Yes, resist you. That’s the cautionary truth we don’t hear often enough.

God withdrew from King Saul.
God opposed Balaam.
God halted Israel’s progress because of Achan’s hidden sin (Joshua 7).

Here’s the question:
❓ What if God’s hand is folded in your life—not because of the devil—but because of a practice, person, or pattern you’ve refused to let go?

🔍 Do a Spiritual Audit
Pray this boldly:

“Lord, do a divine audit of my life.
Reveal every person, practice, or pattern that folds Your hand in my life.”
— Psalm 139:23–24

This is not just a caution. It is a call—to consecration, correction, and alignment.

🎯 Victory Comes From Partnership
Your success is not about who supports you, but whether God is working with you and through you.

✅ You must separate from what silences heaven.
✅ You must choose God’s presence over the presence of men.
✅ You must embrace His working, not just His nearness.

Let this be your confession:

“Lord, expose and remove every alliance, activity, or attitude that silences Your power in my life.
I will protect Your functioning presence over popularity, comfort, or convenience.”

💥 Don’t carry presence. Manifest it.
